Hill Studio Planning and Design collaborated with Spectrum Design and BRTW to create a welcome center for the 280,000 annual visitors to the Mill Mountain Discovery Center in the City of Roanoke, Virginia.

Completed in 2000, the Center was designed to offer educational programs, camps, and special events focusing on outdoor education and cultural awareness. The Center also provides information about downtown Roanoke and the entire Roanoke region to those visiting the valley.

BRTW also created and raised the Center's nearby picnic shelter.
